| Greetings Fellow Bead Geeks: What a wonderful weekend it has been! Saturday afternoon was a little slow at the shop so Patty let me go home an hour early. This was awesome because i got to come home and take a nap which is something I haven't gotten to do on a Saturday in years! Then Saturday night my beloved Owls won and then yesterday I spent the afternoon at my friend Pauline's house. I took sammy up so that Pauline could teach him how to make glass beads. He did one and decided it wasn't for him but it felt great on the lake and we had a wonderful afternoon of bead talk and pool time! A big thanks goes out to Pauline for letting us come up and invade her lake hideaway! We don't have any classes going on at the shop this week but I do have a few things I would like to tell you about. First, have you seen the website this week? If not you must check it out! Sammy has been hard at work on it this week and I am a little bias but I think it looks fantastic! He worked and uploaded the new July class schedule and guess what.....you can now sign up for classes online just by clicking "sign me up" next to the class you want to take. This is a great new feature that most people have really liked so far. He has also worked and signed the store up on twitter and Off The Beaded Path now has a fan page on Facebook. If you would like to follow the store on either site just go to the website for more info. While your on the site don't forget to print off the Christmas in July coupon. If you print out the coupon, fill it out, and bring it in on July 24th or 25th you will receive 20% off your total purchase. I have some great new products coming in for the Christmas season this year so print off your coupon and be the first to get all the new goodies. Another thing Sammy has worked hard on this week is the Forum. He has added new videos as well as new discussions to the forum. This is a great way to learn new techniques and talk to other beaders from the comfort of your home or office. If you haven't signed up for the forum yet be sure to log on and become a member. It only takes a few minutes to sign up and I think you will be quite suprised at all Sammy has done to it this week! One last thing, I ordered 127 new items for the store yesterday. 100 of the new items were Aluminum jump rings in various sizes and colors and Rubber O rings in various sizes and colors. I met the author of a great book called Link It! She was super nice and she was telling me about her book. The more I listened the more I knew that some of you would absolutely love some of the projects she was telling me about. I have the book now at the store and i will have all the supplies for some of the projects later this week. We will be closed Saturday in observance of the 4th. When we re-open on the 6th we will have new store hours. M-W-F we will be open 10:00-6:00. T& Th we will be open 10:00-7:00 and Saturday's we will be open 10:00-4:00.
