Basics of Beading Tuesday September 2nd 6:00-8:00pm Cost: $10.00 + Supplies (Approx Supply Cost: $20.00-30.00) Taught by: Patty In this class Patty will teach students how to make a basic bracelet and a basic pair of earrings. Students will be taught how to properly finish off the ends of your beading wire with crimp beads and how to properly use a pair of crimp pliers. Students will also be taught how to make a plain loop and a wrapped loop for earrings. When students leave the class they should be able to go home and make their own beaded jewelry. Students are asked to come in a few days before the class to get their beads picked out for their projects. Don’t forget to come to class early to see the weekly Try-It-Tuesday Demo! Monthly Ornament Class Saturday September 6th 10:00-2:00 Cost: Approximately 18.00-24.00 Taught by: Kelly In our 9th installment of Ornament classes for the year, Kelly will be teaching students ladder stitch as well as a draping embellishment stitch to make a beautiful Victorian Style Ornament. Christmas is only a few months away so now would be a great time to get started on making wonderful gifts! Kumihimo Disk Bracelet Saturday September 6th 2:30-5:30 Cost: Free Taught by: Kelly In this class Kelly will be teaching students how to use a Kumihimo Disk with wire and beads. Traditionally used in Japan for weaving of threads we are going to be using 4mm beads and thin gauge wire to make a stunning spiral looking necklace. This is a super easy and fast bracelet to make. Once the bracelet is made Kelly will then teach students how to finish off the ends of the bracelet with cones. See the last page of the schedule for a materials list! Chain & Crystal Necklace & Earrings Tuesday September 9th 6:00-8:00 Cost: $10.00 + Supplies Taught by: Patty In this class Patty will be teaching students how to use slender chain to make stunning necklaces and earrings. Students can choose from a variety of beads to add to their chain for a one of a kind piece. Students will be taught the correct way to add the beads and finish off the ends of the pieces for professional looking chain jewelry. Don’t forget to come to class early to see the weekly Try-It-Tuesday Demo! Rings of Fire Earrings Class is Full! Thursday September 11th 6:00-8:00 Cost: Approximately $15.00-18.00 Taught by: Kelly In this class Kelly will be teaching students how to do a Circular Lace stitch. Crystals will be surrounded on 2 sides to create a circular ring of crystals and seed beads. If you don’t like the piece as earrings you can make 1 as a Pendant. This is a super fun and easy project to do! Rivoli Medallion Pendant Class has been Cancelled!! Saturday September 13th 10:00-1:00 Cost: Approximately $24.00 Taught by: Kelly In this class Kelly will be teaching students how to encase and embellish a Crystal Rivoli with seed beads and pearls that will transform into a beautiful Medallion pendant. We had this class last year and it filled up within 2 days. This is your chance to come in and learn how to make this beautiful pendant! It would be best if you had some kind of stitching experience before taking this class. Zig-Zag Necklace Saturday September 13th 1:30-3:30 Cost: FREE Taught by: Kelly In this Free Class, Kelly will be teaching students how to use a few beads and eyepins to create a zig- zag looking necklace, bracelet, or earrings.
