Welcome to week 2 of our Shapes of Summer project series. This week, the video focuses on the 3D Square. This is a fun shape that will teach you how to add corners to your 3D pieces. On Monday, July 21st, the video on how to make the basic shape will be released. You will be able to find the video here:
After you are comfortable with the Square, head on back over to YouTube on Thursday, July 24th, to learn how to add a little more pizazz to your squares by adding openings for Crystals.
The whole pattern for the project can be found on my website here: https://offthebeadedpathbeadstore.com/shapes-of-summer-3d-square-instant-download-pattern/. It's a monster of a pattern, spanning 26 pages, but it's step-by-step and fully graphed.
I want to fully acknowledge, again, that I am not the creator of 3D Shapes. Diane Fitzgerald, Kate McKinnon, and others, came before me and are considered the pioneers of 3D shapes. This video series is simply created to teach you the shapes and then to showcase projects I personally made to demonstrate how you can use the 3D Shapes in jewelry pieces. If you'd like to see book suggestions by these authors I suggest checking out the original post for this series which can be found here: https://offthebeadedpathbeadstore.com/687055084bdf6
