A Fresh Take on Triangular Peyote

If you've ever wanted to make triangular, kite-shaped, or arrow-shaped peyote designs but found the instructions confusing, this project is for you!

Over the years, I've watched several talented designers from around the world create similar shapes. Along the way, I developed a method that feels simpler and easier to understand. In this tutorial, I'll walk you through my approach to creating these beautiful fan-shaped earrings before moving into an easy-to-follow row-by-row chart.

The earrings are stitched using Odd Count Peyote Stitch with the Traveling Tail Turn Around Method. If you're already comfortable with odd count peyote, you'll be right at home. If not, don't worry—I also have a complete video that teaches the technique step by step.

Endless Color Possibilities

One of my favorite things about this design is how dramatically it changes with different color palettes.

For this tutorial, I created two sample versions:

• A bright, cheerful summer-inspired combination featuring orange, turquoise, yellow, and blue.

• A patriotic red, white, and blue version accented with metallic gold for a completely different look.
