On Monday, June 1st, I'll be releasing a brand-new YouTube tutorial featuring the Zig Zag Triangle Earrings. These eye-catching earrings combine basic peyote stitch techniques with simple 3D construction to create a unique design that looks much more complicated than it actually is.
The earrings are made by creating several flat peyote stitch triangles and then zipping them together to form a dimensional triangular shape. The result is a lightweight pair of earrings with beautiful lines, crisp angles, and plenty of opportunities to experiment with color combinations.
For the tutorial, I've created several sample colorways, including a classic blue-and-white version, a bold black-and-white version, and an elegant gold version. No matter your style, these earrings can easily be customized to match your favorite colors and wardrobe.
One of the things I love most about this project is that it introduces beaders to the world of 3D beadwork without being overwhelming. If you're comfortable with basic peyote stitch and have never tried creating a three-dimensional shape before, this project is a wonderful place to start.
